Social Interaction
Social Interaction is a skill where we work on collaboration, effective team-work, and group decision-making. Community development, social media issues, are also things we work on that fall under this category. We
also practice listening to and providing feedback.
Micro-Focus Exercise
This was an exercise we did in Foundations class where we needed to take statements that had an underlying need but the person was not expressing it well. So when a person it upset it is almost always because they had an unmet need and this exercise helped us learn to listen deeper to what they MEANT instead of what they SAID.
Personal Essay for Chewonki Application
There were many sections of the Chewonki Application and the fifth asked you to describe your neighborhood in a few paragraphs. My neighborhood is very tight knit and I have very active relationships with all of them. Because of that I chose to include this in the Social Interaction section of my portfolio because it shows how well I interact with the people around me.
