I worked as a farm worker on an herb farm in rural Maine. Some of my typical tasks include weeding, harvesting, watering, and mulching.
Over the summer I worked at a cut flower farm walking distance from my house. Some of my typical tasks include weeding, washing buckets, raking pathways, and planting bulbs.
This is a program that is part of a greater non-profit dedicated to preserving land, and in the case of Erickson teaching teens to farm sustainably. We also sold most of our produce to food pantries for a steeply reduced rate. Here is learned about Korean Natural Farming.
When I was 12 I began doing mother's helpering which eventually grew into full-blown childcare. I help play with children but also do some household chores if needed (although that is not common) I was offered a month long position as a live-in nanny during the summer of 2021 but I was not able to accept it because of COVID19.
I have performed many concerts throughout Midcoast Maine. I have played at nursing homes, churches, high school graduations, silent auctions, and many more. Many of these are pro-bono opportunities but an increasing number of these have been paid. I have also been on the radio.
In the spring of 2021 I was able to go on a sailing cruise on a local schooner. On that trip I hit it off with both the crew and the captain and spent a lot of time helping out around the boat. That must be why I landed a job as a substitute deck-hand the next year without much prior experience. Some of my many jobs included raising sails, helping to tack and jibe the boat as well as standing night watch, cleaning decks and making sure the passengers were well cared for.

This is a prestigious chamber music prize that was awarded to my piano trio in the spring of 2022. It has been given out annually by Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School for over 60 years and comes with a $1000 stipend. There was an article written about it in the local news paper.
This is a scholarship only awarded to students from Maine who are rising juniors. Students who demonstrate their already exsisting passion for enviromental advocacy and academic excellence. It is for students who creates positive change in their communities. This scholarship means the person awarded it is in the top 20% of their grade. At the end of my time at Chewonki I was interviewed about my experience there and that was posted their website.
